Chopin Airport
800kWp photovoltaic system
The company MPL Energy in 2014 completed the basic work on the contract for the construction of a photovoltaic system with a capacity of 800kWp located on the roof of Terminal T1 at the Chopin Airport in Warsaw.
It is currently the largest photovoltaic roof power plant in Poland. The company beat its own record 2 years ago when in Łódź built on the 4 roofs photovoltaic power plants with a total capacity of 450kWp.
Photovoltaic system is implemented on behalf of Hochtief Poland, the user will be Polish Airports. The power plant will supply electricity Terminal T1, together with BMS and have many unique features such as DC circuit breakers on each of the PV modules and the ability to melting snow that is deposited on the PV modules.
The system will be equipped with monitoring, measurement of the energy produced in the system Amaro, the plant will work with SAP and provide via switches on the DC modules DC voltage reduction to the level of zero volts which will be crucial in the case of fire-fighting.
