Calculation assumptions
- Net energy prices: single-zone tariff 0.62 PLN/kWh; multi-zone tariffs peak 0.78 / off-peak 0.46 PLN/kWh; dynamic contract (day-ahead) 0.34 to 0.90 PLN/kWh depending on the hour.
- Capacity fee 2026: 0.2194 PLN/kWh on working days 7:00 to 21:59, K1 to K4 classification calculated separately for each working day (coefficients 0.17 / 0.50 / 0.83 / 1.00).
- Fixed network charge: 11.50 PLN/kW/month (B tariffs), 9.00 PLN/kW/month (C tariffs). Contracted power overrun charge: ten times the rate.
- PV surplus sold at 0.28 PLN/kWh. PV production without a file: 1000 kWh/kWp per year with a monthly distribution typical for Poland.
- Storage: charge and discharge efficiency 95% (RTE 90%), depth of discharge 90%, at most 2 cycles per day, 20% reserve for backup power.
- Indicative investment cost: 1450 PLN/kWh of capacity + 300 PLN/kW of power (net, turnkey), operating costs 1.2% of the investment per year. Simple payback, no subsidies or degradation.
- The industry profile is synthetic and calibrated to the annual consumption and contracted power. Public holidays are treated as working days.
The result is indicative. The calculation is based on a simplified storage operation model and the price assumptions listed below. It does not include battery degradation, subsidies or grid connection costs. The final sizing is done by an MPL Energy engineer based on full metering data, connection conditions and the current offer.
