§1 General provisions

1. This Cookie Policy (the "Policy") sets out the rules for the use of cookies and similar technologies on the website available at https://mplenergy.pl/ (the "Website").
2. The administrator of the Website and of the personal data processed through cookies is MPL Energy sp. z o.o., with its registered office in Zabrze (41-807), ul. Handlowa 13, entered into the register of entrepreneurs of the National Court Register under KRS number 0000365558, NIP: 6312620276, REGON: 241743065 (the "Administrator").
3. The Administrator can be contacted on data protection matters at the following email address: iodo@mplgroup.pl.
4. The general rules for processing personal data are described in the Privacy Policy. This Cookie Policy supplements it with regard to cookies.
5. The use of cookies in the B2B online store available at https://b2b.mplenergy.pl is governed by a separate policy available in that store.

§2 What are cookies

1. Cookies are small text files stored on the user's device (computer, tablet, smartphone) while browsing the Website. They contain, among others, the name of the website they come from, their storage time, and a unique number.
2. The Administrator also uses technologies similar to cookies, such as local storage and third-party tags and pixels. Wherever this Policy refers to cookies, this shall also mean these technologies.
3. Cookies may be:
   • first-party - placed directly by the Website,
   • third-party - placed by providers of the tools used by the Administrator (e.g. Google, Meta),
   • session - deleted automatically when the browser is closed,
   • persistent - stored for a defined period or until the user deletes them.

§3 Consent and the consent management platform (Cookiebot)

1. On the first visit to the Website, a consent banner operated by the Cookiebot tool (provider: Usercentrics A/S) is displayed, through which the user may grant or decline consent to individual categories of cookies.
2. Cookies strictly necessary for the correct functioning of the Website are used on the basis of the Administrator's legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) and do not require consent.

4. In connection with the use of the above tools, data may be transferred to recipients in the United States, under the terms described in the Privacy Policy (EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework mechanism or standard contractual clauses).

§6 Managing cookies in the browser

1. In addition to the Cookiebot mechanism, the user may at any time manage cookies independently through their browser settings, including blocking or deleting them.
